Sorry I havn't put up any reviews lately. Don't know exactly which one to review. Might do a review of Call of Duty 2 or Half-Life 2 Episode 1 soon. and I might even try to do one on the Just Cause demo. Key word, "might". Yeah I'm slacking I know but I'll try to get another review out soon.

Ninety-Nine Nights Demo

Alright lets get this thing started with, well in this case it's not a full game but a demo of a game I want. Yes call me a fool for loving hack and slashes but it's just plain entertainment watching multitudes of soldiers/monsters and whatnot fall before your awesome might,but I digress. Let's get to the demo. The first I noticed was that the main screen for the demo took so long to load, ok it wasn't that long only a few seconds, but I was anticipating this game and wanted to play. Anyways after main menu, you are presented with a very nice cutscene. Nicely Rendered and whatnot with the power of the 360 behind it, I guess they should be pretty good. You are then your put right in the action facing a nice group of goblins that of course need killing. For a few moments you are matched up with your sister, as I figure (could be wrong, should have paid more attention),named Immphy, but she decides to chase down the goblins that have run off. This is where you meet the first downfall of the demo. Now I don't know if this is exactly how it's gonna be in game, but the diolague is terrible in my opinion anyways. How about the fighting? I'm sure you're asking. Smooth. I think its quite smooth, combos are fluid and have a nice variety of different combos. Enemys go flying as you rack up insane amounts of combos and the kill counter increases ever steadily. I found, however, that I would just run into a group, do a dash attack that would spear an enemy and then take said enemy and spin him round and round taking out quite a few of his nearby comrades. Some enemies carry items that drop upon their death such as: damage increase, orb increase, and defense increase and you can also get weapons and other equipable goodies from chests that are floating above the ground. As you pick up these items you can access an equipment screen and interchange different weapons and items easily. Health Potions drop from the enemies as well. Sounds simple enough but I found this so much easier than running around the entire map smashing crates and pots to find health items in Dynasty Warriors. Being a hack and slash I of course did compare alot of things that it did better than Dynasty Warriors. There was one thing that bugged me the most about playing this, I doubt it was the demo itself and the problem is on my end, but the demo freezes everytime I play it. Barely any action would be going on screen, I could be attacking one enemy and bam everything freezes. This was really annoying, but what can you do, besides send it into Microsoft and pay a hefty fee I hear and get it fixed.

Overall I liked this demo and would want to buy the game and see if the freeze magicly fixed itself (I can only hope). If you have an Xbox 360 and Xbox Live I highly go reccomend you download this off the marketplace, unless your one of those people who cant stand hack and slashes, even then go give it a try. I rate this demo a 3/5

Well, this is to be my first post and I think I'll start it off with an introduction. I am a student and live in North Dakota. I wanted to make this blog to talk about somthing that I find interesting. Namely....Games. I hope to be able to provide my view of a game and give it a rating from 1 to 5. 5 of course being the highest rating. Now that I have introduced myself and the purpose of the site, I will try to keep it updated with recent games that I play and possibly other game related content.
